One of my favorite techniques to do is the emboss resist technique. I just think its so fun to see the image “magically” appear when you blend the ink unto the paper. When choosing an image its fun to use an image that has some detail to it but really almost anything would work. The best thing to do it just experiment and see what you get. You can make some really cool backgrounds, focal points, and even spruce up a sentiment.
The first step to doing the emboss resist technique, after you choose your image, is to stamp the image unto the card stock and emboss with your embossing color of choice. The sample I am sharing with you today I used white embossing powder. Make sure to inspect it to make sure the powder is melted, it should go from looking like a sugar texture to a smooth shiny texture.
After you are done embossing, grab your color of choice and blend with a blending brush, sponge or dauber. The best way to get a nice smooth blend is to tap once after loading your brush with ink so you don’t get a weird “thumb print” on your card. I share some more tips in the video.
