Welcome 2020! I am so ready to begin a new year and make things happen. I love setting goals and making plans, they get me all excited about the future. One of those plans is to share some “suite” projects with you. Stampin’ Up! does a fabulous job with creating product suites that get the inspiration fired up.
So, I am here today to share one of the Peaceful Poppies projects. This adorable little journal is so fun to make that you may want to make some for a few friends as well. With a bit of die cutting, a stamp, and some adhesive, this little book is quick to assemble. I was thinking it would even work well as a wedding gift for the bride and groom to journal about their story…awww…(insert mushy music here).
When I saw all the amazing samples in the new January-June 2020 Mini Catalog I wanted to make them all….so I did. I had so much fun and am so pleased with how cute they turned out that I am anxious to share them. I made 20 projects in all and am creating an online class for you to enjoy. Here’s the great news, if you purchase the Peaceful Poppies Suite, the online class is free! I am putting together hours of video instructions, supply lists, and photos to help you create 20 beautiful projects. Make sure you are subscribed to my newsletter so you get notified when the class becomes available.
I created the flowers and leaves using the Poppy Moments Dies. The poppies were die cut from Poppy Parade card stock and Calypso Coral card stock. The leaves were die cut from Old Olive and Mossy Meadow card stock. The layers were attached using a fine tip glue. To finish off the flowers I added the middles, which were die cut out of Basic Black card stock.
When the flowers and leaves were complete, I attached them to the front of the journal. The leaves were attached with Tombo glue and the flowers were place onto the cover with dimensionals. I used my Basic Gray marker to marker just the word “moments” from one of the greetings that can be found in the Peaceful Moments stamp set and stamped it onto a piece of Whisper White card stock (1 7/8″ x 3/4″). The greeting was adhered to the largest poppy with glue dots. I added the White Seam Binding to the top coil. I used about 4 strips folded over the coil and secured with some Linen Thread.
If you loved making this cute little book, you will love making the rest of the projects too! Here is a peek at some of the cards that I made using this suite. Can you believe this is not all of them!
