Missing You Card…
About this time a couple of years ago I lost a dear family member and she has been on my heart for the last few days. She was one of the people who really influenced my love of crafting. She also was one of those people that would drop everything to help a family member or friend. She was an amazing person and I am grateful for her influence. It is always a great idea to make sure that the people around me know that I appreciate them. I could be better at this. So, how about whipping up a card and sending it to someone to let them know you are grateful for them? I am certain it will be the highlight of their day.
I water colored the flowers from the Blended Season stamp set using my Zig Clean Color markers. You can use whatever paint medium you have or even your blend markers. If you use your blend markers I would use Whisper White cardstock instead of watercolor paper.
After the image was dry, I die cut the entire image out with my smallest stitched square from the Stitched Shapes framelits. Using washi tape works great to hold the die in place so you get a straight. After the squares were all done, I used dimensionals to place them on a Soft Suede card base (4 1/4 x 11) that was embossed with the Pinewood Planks embossing folder. I purposely did not adhered one of the squares so I could replace it with the greeting. To make the greeting square, I took a blank scrap of watercolor paper and stamped the greeting in Soft Suede and die cut with the matching stitched square. The greeting square is the only square not popped up with a dimensional.
I finished the card of with some Nature’s Twine around the top and some clear enamel dots I had in my stash.
