Did you see that? That blur was April flying by…at least for me it flew by. My husband and I spend most of April getting our house ready for sale. After a lot of money spent, cleaning, and work we ended April with the house listed and my head spinning. I am so ready to pick back up with our weekly creative therapy zoom class. It was so relaxing to sit down and play with new products today and to get our sketch ready for May.
May’s sketch can be found on page 26 in the new 2021-2022 Annual Catalog that starts May 4th.
Here is a simplified image of this month’s sketch:
I couldn’t wait to dig my inky fingers into the Beauty of the Earth suite so decided to use this sketch to try the suite out. I really love the colors and patterns with this suite and trees are a great option as you can use them for endless occasions. I see a lot of potential there.
I stamped a couple of trees and die cut them with the matching dies. Using the same stamps and ink I stamped the white card stock, stamping several times before re-inking to just fill in the space. I also stamped the greeting in Mossy Meadow ink onto Basic White card stock and die cut with the rectangle die that was included in the die set. When I added the greeting I accented it with a bit of Old Olive ribbon I had in my stash. It was a nice easy card to put together….don’t you just love cards like that?
Supplies used on the card:
Mossy Meadow cs (8 1/2 x 5 1/2)
Beauty of the Earth DSP (3 x 4 1/2), (2×2) – die cut the birds.
Basic White cs (4 x 2 3/4), (4 x 3) – trees and greeting piece
Old Olive ribbon
Cinnamon Cider Ink
Mossy Meadow Ink
Old Olive Ink
I’m going to go back and play some more, I will see you tomorrow on zoom!
