When I am making a project sometimes it just needs the added….something.  Today I am sharing a few tricks with you that have helped me add that little something to my stamped images and dies made them stand out more and “pop”.

I got the card idea right from the Sale-a-bration flyer, I just changed the look of the lily a bit. I stamped the lily image in melon mambo onto melon mambo card stock. I then took my real red watercolor pencil and my white watercolor pencil and added some depth to the lily.  I used the real red pencil to deepen the shadows at the base of the petals. Once I was done with that, I added white to all the tips.  The key is to color softly and to add the color in layers until you have reached the look you are going for.  I am thrilled with the results and can’t wait to try it with more of my images. How about you?
