Day 5 Watercolor Wedding Card
Today I am sharing a simple wedding card using the Wonderful Moments stamp set. I inked up the bride with Soft Suede, Smoky Slate, Grapefruit Grove, and Old Olive markers and stamped the image onto watercolor paper. Then I took my aqua painter and ran the brush tip along the lines of the image. This loosens up the ink and gives it a watercolor look. I also filled in a few areas like her hair and dabbed a bit with the aqua painter on the bouquet. This technique is great if you want a watercolor look but are not comfortable drawing your own image.
I embossed a Grapefruit Grove piece of cardstock (4″ x 5 1/4″) with the ruffled embossing folder and adhered it to the same color card base. I die cut an oval from the watercolor paper (4″ x 3″) and layered that under a Smoky Slate oval (3 1/2″ x 2 1/2″). After the bride was finished, I die cut the image with the largest stitched oval from the stitched shapes framelits and adhered it to the Smoky Slate oval. I then finished the card off with a small white organza bow.
