Hello Fellow Creatives!

You ever have those times where you envision a project in your mind and it turns out just as you imagined? Well, for me that almost never happens. I often have to switch gears as I am creating, and that’s ok.  It took me a while to be ok with it because I am such a perfectionist but with practice I have gotten better.  This time I was amazed at how the idea in my head actually turned out just how I had envisioned it…wow!  People, this is a historical moment for me and I am documenting it on my blog to make it a permanent part of the annals of my crafting history.  This may never happen again but I am happy dancing to celebrate, ok maybe not dancing but I am pretty excited about the project.

My dad is one of those guys who owns pretty much any tool on the planet and if he “needs” another one he just goes and buys it.  So he is a tough person to buy gifts for.  What I have been doing is trying to make his card or gift box something unique and special.  When I saw the Trusty Tool Bundle I thought it would be perfect to make something for my dad for his birthday.

The process to making the tool box wasn’t really too bad.  I had a couple of goals in mind when I was playing with the idea.  I used inexpensive scrap cardstock to make a couple protypes so I wouldn’t waste my good paper. After making a successful sample I knew I could go forward with the final product. The other exciting bit about this post today is I get the fun of sharing it with you!  If you like to create projects like this but don’t want to work out all the bugs first, no worries, I’ve got you covered!

As soon as I get the video done I will be sure to update this post with the video and all the measurements.  I got ahead of myself because I was so excited and found myself without the information when doing this blog post.  I haven’t gotten the process down of switching from the studio to working from home and so forgot all the details at the studio. Sorry about that!

Thanks for swinging by today and hanging out, I appreciate you!
